How deep do you intend to go with your camera?

I don't think there is an underwater casing for FZ5. Been looking for one for a long time =(

Unless of course you are thinking of those plastic underwater 'bags' that can go down to a max of 5m, I think you can get them off the web - ebay perhaps?

A better suggestion is to get another cam for underwater phototaking purposes =p That's what I did. hehe. At second hand prices, a cam with underwater casing is still cheaper than commissioning a company to specially make a casing for ur FZ5.

Just my 2 cents worth. ^^

wow really? Sounds good.

Just curious... You are talking about these casings right: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Gift-Me-Mal...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Their advert say certified to depth of 5m. then they show (but dun guarantee ) that the bag can go up to 18m.. so I din know whether it's for real anot. haha. Din dare to try it on my cam also but hey at least now from what u say, i know it can go down to 22m. Thanks for the info!

No, not those. I used Ewa-marine:

Rated to 30meters, but, I seriously doubt I can go beyond 22m. Reason being, the ambient pressure is very strong after that and you need a lot of air to go beyond the depth.

Using the "bag", leaking is not the main concern, but imploding is the concern. The more air in it, the deeper you can go because the air is compressed at depth. The min you pass that, the ambient pressure will be on the camera and I don't think neither one of us wants that. CRUSH! (not to mention bouyancy is affected with a bag filled with air. and what happens when you are doing safety stop with a bag filled with air. )

That's the reason why I asked, how deep the Topic starter wants to go with the camera.
