Help: MR-5 wireless remote for 400d

Hi guys,

I recently purchased the MR-5 multibrand remote : http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?p...14205&cat=1853

I can't seem to get it to work on my Canon 400d. I've already set the camera to "Self-time / Remote Control" but it still doesn't work.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this thing?

When it came there was no plastic separating the battery from the connections, but testing the battery with my multimeter showed 3V still, so I don't think it's a dead battery...

Any help appreciated , thanks!

just got a new battery and it still doesn't work
