Default SLR under S$500

I'm looking for a entry level SLR camera for budget under S$500, is there any recommendation? Is the Nikon F55 a good choice?

Thanks.

Unfortunately....yes. I guess the F55 come with Nikkor AF 28-80mm F3.3-5.6G Lens.

How is Nikon F55 compare to the Canon EOS 66? Both are at the similar price range.

it depends on whether you are gonna be a devoted Canonite or a Nikonian

Okie okie, jokes aside. F55 body quite responsive to the user wherelse the EOS66 is just mediocre.

F55 is very lightweight (not so sure about the EOS66 though), try a EOS500N oso

I like EOS 66 with the manual ISO setting as you can push your film by 1 or 2 stop.
F55 don't have (work around is use EV compensation)

Yup, your camera choice is not just for now, unless you plan never to upgrade.

Personally F55 seems more ergonomic than EOS66. Both are nice & light to carry.

One of the important feature to look for is a metal mount.
Dun sting on this feature.
