Which produces sharper image? 850IS or new Ixus75?

This one may be a tough comparison as it is fairly unlikely anyone has done a one to one comparison. But if you have, I'd be really glad and appreciate your useful comments.

I'm considering these 2 cams. From dpreview, I can see that the 850IS is less sharp than the 800IS and seems like the 850's noise reduction has made the image quality worse but still ok at low ISO.

I'd be interested if the Ixus75 produces a tad better quality than the 850IS. Dun mind getting a less wide angle end and lack of IS on the 75 if image quality is better.

I would say that so far all the wide angle compact I tried so far tend to have some softness on the edges therefore in terms of sharpness, 850IS definitely loses out to 800IS however. I have tried the Ixus 75 and the quality is not bad plus the noise level is the same as 850IS. Is your pick
