Actually, if you combine the purchase of a few books, turns out much cheaper to get it from amazon. Only issue is the waiting time (sometimes 3 weeks).

I don't think anyone disputes that books on amazon.com are way cheaper as they are able to offer books at far below American retail prices. But I feel that riceball's prices are pretty decent compared locally with other shops, and bear in mind the range of photographic books they carry is unmatched.

If you want to buy amazon, go ahead. Slightly more hassle, plus a 2 week plus wait compared to a higher price but immediate availability.

Your comment is also uncalled for! that book at Amazon costs SGD 35.30 ex shipping, but you need to wait weeks, plus shipping can be around SGD 12 or more.

For abit more you get it directly in your hands, and you can check the book in the shop. Plus this is a shop, do you think they work for free and have no overheads?
