Judging for Grey Matters Photo Challenge

Hi all,

The Grey Matters Photo Challenge has been completed on the 25 March 2007.
A total of 32 persons took part in this interesting inaugural Black & White photo event of the year.

The works have been submitted and the entries will be judged at the following details:

Date : 07 April 2007, Saturday
Time : 1400 to 1700 hours
Venue : Basheer Gallery (4th floor at Bras Basah Complex along North Bridge Road, Opposite Raffles Hotel)

The Judges for the event are:

1. Mr Wayne Umehara
2. Mr Bernard Teo
3. Dr P N Chong

This will be a public judging event and the judging is open for viewing by any members of the public and the participants. Thw award winners will be announced at the end of the judging.

All interested photoenthusisats are invited to join us for the judging of the winning B&W works.....See you!!!!

There would be the following prize given out after the judging:

1st Prize : 1 x 8banners Ma, 6x6 format pinhole handcrafted camera
2nd Prize : 1 x S$200 product voucher from www.chiifcameras.com
3rd Prize : 1 x Benro Tripod set
3 sets of Merit Awards : each winner gets a S$50 e-voucher from www.ppcponline.com

The particpant's images shall be judged in a set of 3 images and not as individual image. The judging will be based on the following merits:

• Visual communication of Ideas
• Composition
• Creative Expression
• Demonstration of Overall Coherence and & Cohesiveness with the 3 topics issued in the set.
Participants who did not win the competition can arrange to get their negatives back after the judging event. The negatives for the honoured winners will be retained for enlargement for exhibition prints.

Participants can collect their negatives back after the judging is done tomorow. However, the negatives of winning entries will be detained for enlargement for exhibition purposes.
