Price of 400D have fallen

According to Canon Singapore Website updated today, 400D Kit is now RSP $1499 (Usual $1669) while the body is RSP $1329 (Usual $1499).

Maybe the staff at MS color was not informed with the new price update yet. I was looking around for a photo printer then I saw the price at the website.

ok I went down and got a quote of $1200 including gst for the 400D body at Mscolor. Is there a price drop? What was the previous price?

Previous price was ~ $1320 for body only at MSColor, Cathay Photo and Alan Photo.

since like MS is quoting different price to different people...maybe they like u more when u getting 1.2k from them..I was quoted $1280 2 weeks ago..

Ok this is a confirmed drop. John3:16 is quoting $1320 for a 400D kit. I think MS is doing inconsistent quoting.

I think on the phone the guy a bit switched off.

I think the price drop is quite recent, probably together with the recent price adjustment in the L-lens.

I think probably very soon every shop will be selling at around $1200.

30D body: $1890 (John 3:16) (incl GST) This comes with a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II and the EOS bag.

400D body: $1220 or thereabouts (I'll check for you and update tomorrow evening, also from John 3:16 and inclusive of GST) Also comes with 2GB Sandisk Ultra II and EOS bag.

Of course, both come with the traditionally excellent John 3:16 service.

So, the price of the 30D has not really dropped... The MSRP dropped by around $370, but not the market price

For Canon DSLR there is alway a price adjustment after 6 months or so unless the price suddenly drop few hundered $$ than that means a new model is coming out. Like what happen to the 20D

There is indeed a price drop as it dropped RM500 in Malaysia already. From RM3.2k as the norm to RM2.7k now for the 400D kit. Street price.
