Hi guys, just came back from Batam, I wish I had shot more, but it was all a little rushed, and after that parents just wanted to SHOP, SHOP and SHOP. So, shopping centre inside no sunlight lor.
Guided tours are a serious hazard to photography when you travel. Heh. Batam has changed a little from when I last visited, I would love to go there again one day before it gets too developed (though I think it'd take a long time, progress seems slow).. And just walk along the streets without overtly worried and shopaholic parents to hinder photography. Hehe. #1 - Statue at the courtyard of the temple of Guan Yu ![]() #2 - Er, temple with dustbin ![]() #3 - Here no more dustbin ![]() #4 ![]() |

#5 - some elephant statues near my hotel, just throw in here la
![]() I saw a lot of photo opportunities on the coach. =( Lovely broken down houses, etc.. I think if one is alert should be quite ok, especially if you go with someone. All C&C welcome. Btw, I think the first 4 shots might appear a little soft, it's because I did not get to clean the IR filter before I had to take those rather rushed shots, the tour guide only gave 15 minutes (?!?!) to quickly rush through the temple, how irritating.
