But won't keeping to time limit abit sian? Most of the time, I just walk walk....not much of itinerary or time limit. If cannot cover the places I want to go also like that.

we will usually define an area of exploration and spread out to do our own shooting, sometimes we will meet along the way and chat so it would be less boring, then eventually meet up again at the entrance at a certain timing. we would usually give ample time to shoot, so it is not an issue. anyway if we meet up and we all agree we can stay longer, we would. but usually we will move on to other places.

i'm not that kind of hardcore guys who must have certain shots, so i will always be moved on and still get other pics and still be happy.

yeap, we have a schedule in order to try to cover as many areas as possible within the time frame given, but it'll still allocate ample time in an area for it to be enjoyable =)

have you calculated the cost using year end prices? it might cost more!
$3600 for 20 days is really very cheap for japan!

estimated airticket to tokyo, cheapest off peak is $400 with thai airways, 10 hour flight,
or northwest at $580-600 7 hours flight. thats the crappy season prices. add $250 for taxes.

transportation by JR or passnet unlimted is pricey! average shinkansen already 100+ one way

accomodation average $30-60 per nite for dorm style/ryoshan

am interested, PM my email to you

the year-end trip might be going through some changes, the originally planned 20 days might be shortened to 14 days with a budget of $2300 for the entire trip

the itinery would not include kyoto as one of the destinations but it will still include hokkaido, tokyo, yokohama, fuji go-ko and other destinations in the kanto area...

To apply for leave, 14 days will be easier to apply as compared to 20 days. Moreover, the cost will be greatly reduced. But who knows when you go there, you will spend spend spend and buy buy buy.
