Canon video lens - EOS adapter.... available?

know that it is possible to mount EOS lenses on XL with an adapter, but how about the other way round?

have checked lots of places liao, still cant find one....

main question: technically is this possible?

I think it is not possible, because the video lenses are designed to work with a very small sensor. And if there was such an adapter available, the video lenses would be super wide on a still camera (I think the XL2 20x zoom is 5.4mm - 108mm).

By the way, what would you be wanting to do with this combination?

I meant what would you be wanting to snap? Some ultra-wide landscape or what? Cos it's not much fun carrying that 20x lens around unless you have a real use for it.

You can't, the XL lenses are a smaller format than the EF lenses. It like using non L lenses on EOS 5D or 1Ds or 1Ds MkII
