Thanks for the reply guys
Like some others above, I've also given up from GP batteries. Currently using Sanyo 2300/2500.
Those using PowerEx sold by East Gear, can tell me what's the difference between PowerEx & say Sanyo or Sony or Energizer etc. The PowerEx packing says "Industrial" grade. Does it make a difference between "Industrial" grade vs "Consumer" grade?
There is some offer at East Gear, quite tempted to get the portable storage & charger/batteries as spares.
usually most people will tell u there's only a need to choose between powerex and sanyo enelops. don't really have to bother about the rest..
powerex has more power, so if u use ur batteries often they'll take more shots for each charge compared to others. sanyo enelops retain charge better but are not as powerful. So if u don't use ur batteries often, or don't want to bother to remember to recharge, then get the enelops...

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. So PowerEx is the way to go!
Just bought the Powerex charger from EastGear at $39 plus 4xAA batt at $15.
been trying out Powerone (subsidiary of VARTA Microbattery) 2700 mAh batts. Can get for $15/4pcs at the shop near the escalator at Level 2 SLS. Its a new product so not many pple been using it I guess....
Just bought the PowerEx Maha charger $39 with extra batteries $15. also bought a portable storage casing for $99. Anyone can recommend a reliable 2.5" hard disk?
I have 10 pieces of Sanyo Eneloop batteries. I compare their performance by charging them at random either with Sanyo charger or PowerEx charger. I notice that those charged with Sanyo charger (2 batteries at a time) lasts at least 30 to 20% longer than those charged with PowerEx charger.
Check out http://www.thomas-distributing.com/index.htm. I use powerex 2700 and their charger by MAHA. Their charger will charge eneloop batteries also. The powerex 2700 work great in my SB-800. Hope this helps.
