Not so weired lah, have almost the same shot few years back.
The centre part with both the building also not bad with a FE leh why you did not take a shot from that angle.

I guess it's bcos the Gateway building has a very sharp corner. And with a fish eye distortion, it looks like it's disappearing

These are taken with Tokina 10-17. Shot at 10mm

but, does FE allows mounting of filters? I thought it gives 180 view.

My D70i is modded with R72

The Nikon 10.5 allows gelatin filter to be mounted at the rear element. But this Tokina 10-17 don't have the gelatin filter mount.... 180deg is diagonally
