Default What is your favourite DOMKE bag?

Since there is a Crumpler bag thread... I am calling DOMKE kakis... which model you own and what color
My dream Sand F-2... almost get it but ended up with a ballistic J2... Got attracted by its "hidden" army green Domke label instead of the Red striking wordings in the F-series... I am also loving my Black F-3X

I have 3 Domke bags: J-1, J-2 and the F-803. All of them are my favourites as I vary their usages according to the type of assignments.
  • For a major assignments, the J-1 and F-803 (for my Powerbook) are my choices.
  • For family events or birthday parties, I use the J-2.
  • For street-shooting or just to carry my Leica bodies, I use the F-803.
By the way, anyone knows how to get rid of mildew and mold on the bags? I have tried hanging them under the sun and to use those shoe spray, but none of them work. A fellow photographer told me household bleach is the best solution but I am reluctant to use it.

mold on your F-803 canvas? The J series ballistic nylon should be easy to wipe clean right

I had 2 f2s before. The canvass will fade and deteriorate about 1 year into heavy use. Now I'm using the J2 now, at least it is made up of entirely balistic nylon hence it won't look like the ugly faded canvass after use.

The mold and mildew problem has been bothering me since 2 or 3 years ago. Therefore I do not leave my cameras and lenses in the bag after shooting.

Some time back, I left a teleconverter in my J-1 and guess what happened to it. I have to dispose it due to thick fungus growth.

The mold and mildew problems are common with canvas bags. My colleague's Safrotto (Domke clone) got this problem also.
