    Default Sunset @ Punggol - 1st attempt on sunset

    Lugged my heavy tripod with D80 plus kit lens...

    this is my sunset...
    the ham-tan (salted egg) sun sink very fast leh..
    within minutes..it disappeared just like that..
    Game Over.....

    C&C appreciated. I need to improve..

    There seems to be a lack of range in colors. Since you were there, could you comment on the photo's colors vs. what you saw in person? Where did you meter your exposure from?

    Also, since you're on a tripod, how did you arrive at using ISO 160 at f/14?

    Unfortunately your ham-tan not round... else would be really good. I like there few people you've got in ur pic. Does make it alive.

    You may wanna darken the highlights and increase a little contrast to bring out some colors.

    you sun is too high up, can still find a better location to set up your tripod.
    try not to use Auto WB for sunset, you can use other preset balance to get better color.

    yup, maybe can try cloudy for warmer feel.

    Too early for a sunset shot IMO. The sun has an odd shape which might translate to where you meter when taking sunset shots. Also, if in doubt in what WB to use, shoot in RAW.
