Default Quick Shift in pentax DA lense.

How does one actually uses this function? How do you toggle it on?

it's always on.

it basically means that you can always adjust the focus manually.

Its better to half press the shutter first.

haha. yes. because whenever you half-press, generally, the lens will auto focus, so you'll lose whateer manual focus you set.

Of course the other thing you could do is to assign focussing to another button...

w/ QS, it's like you have AF and MF all together all the time The common use of QS is to half press the shuttle button for AF, then turn the focus ring to fine tune to your like .
