Question Methods of storage for pictures

I have a problem here, hope you all can give some suggestion...

Usually I stored in my desktop, but recently I found out I ran out of memory... I had a 40 gb external harddisk, but when i stored the pictures in the hard disk, i could not transfer to my com..faded pictures with cross will appear in my com...

    1) wat is the problem? seems like some file is missing

    2) Can i change my pics into smaller file, stored , and den restore back?

    Thanks in advance....

Use explorer and view the files in your external HDD. If there are not the regular size (2+MB or more), you may have not copied them over in the first place.
