Not really.... My dad was complaining about the poor reception he had with my bro's old line (Singtel) vs my prev 1+1 (M1) coverage... The M1 was better in his opinion. For me, I still have a very old Singtel line (now my mom uses it) and I still prefer the coverage of M1.

It's more on locations. M1 covers more on the outskirts, whereas Singtel has a comprehensive coverage over interior areas (City side)

True Number Portability will only be introduced this 3rd or 4th quarter of this year, I forgot.
It means that you will own your own HP number even if you operator-hop.

Currently, it is only number portability meaning that people can still call your old number although you are given a new number, which is reflected when you call out.

Singtel is best for those who roams alot... If you mostly use in Singapore then I think M1 and Singtel are fairly similar.

Switched from Singtel to M1 1 year ago. Good price plan as I sign up when there is a 50% monthly slashed!

hey guys, u know about the $50 voucher from Starhub for recontract ? actually i did went to observe and check the prices. There is no difference ! the phones in Starhub are actually more expensive than those in M1 and Singtel. If u minus the $50, the prices are the same.

Ah! A few months. My contract ended in January.
zac08, what conditions (if any) that are tied to the voucher? Is there a specific type of phone that one needs to purchase?

they are number 2 becos they started with free incoming calls to capture market share... the red and orange only come in later with this.

to be frank... i see no difference in all 3 operators... all profits goes to the same shareholders... i choose the colour i like, not the network.

initially starhub refused to issue voucher to me, and instead offer 6 months free caller ID to me... i rejected it. It takes a week for them to get back to me and said i am qualified becos i got all 3 services.. maxonline, mobile and scv... and it is of pure goodwill. I replied them back that i dun bother about goodwill ! they should take initative to reward heavy users.. wat a lousy reason to give out free voucher... ! everything want money money.. see world cup also want money... just a little phone to reward users to stay with them for 2 long years also want to bluff ! damm piss off..

Mine was that I had to use the voucher within a certain time period, I think they gave me about 2 months or so... and nope, I could use it on any phones I like...
