Hope you did not do what I did... I was over-enthusiastic in cleaning my camera body with a hand-operated dust blower and it blew more dust in than out

Nowadays, I used a small vacuum cleaner to suck air while blowing with the blower... it did help somewhat. I will send the camera for cleaning when things get unbearable

Of warranty, then bring it to shriro for cleaning, else just ignore it...unless it really irritates you. My friend who bought a 350D last year also saw some dust and tried to clean it.
Result is a repair job back at canon service centre and they even wanted him to pay at first but in the end decided to treat it as warranty...

Can you take the focusing screen out and clean it by yourself? I did this several times w/ my D and Ds before.

Heard it'd take a couple of weeks for Shiriro to get this job done, I wouldn't be apart from my cam for that long unless I have to

Mine got really dirty. I tried gently using lens microfiber cloth, it didn't help. I try lens tissue, it got worst. Then I got pissed and use lens cleaning solution on the lens tissue and wipe on the viewfinder glass. It really worked, most of the dust are gone. Maybe it's cos the dust stick to the wet lens tissue better But my previous attempt to clean the glass landed some dust onto the sensor

It's normal to have dust on the DSLR viewfinder. It is irritating but after a while you will get used to it and live with it. I have dust on my K10D viewfinder now also.

I still remember last time there's this guy who asked me to help take photo with his film SLR. Guess what i saw when i look through the viewfinder, lot's of dust nevermind, there's a tiny dead ANT.

If it's within warranty, I don't see why not...
