complaint against user weddingphotographer

Hi,

This person contacted me in response to my WTS thread with regards to the 83J type 77mm hood i was selling.

After several messages of setting up meetings and the cancelling and rescheduling for 2 days he finally met up with me. I had already agreed to sell it to him for a reduced price as he gave me an assurance of being a serious genuine buyer.

He asked me over sms if the hood was a genuine one and why was i selling it. I told him as is put up in my post that it is a 83J type hood and is not an original one and I am selling it as someone got me the original canon hood.

After meeting me today he said the hood was not original and get didn't want it. A complete waste of time.

His number is 9732x48x. He told me his userid is "WeddingPhotographer".

Sellers beware. Where is the best place to post this so other users can be made aware?

well perhaps he was careless and didn't look carefully at your post.

look for his username and leave feedback abt the transaction. it's your word against his.

little use, if a user don't make post anything in marketplace, nobody will know their iTrader rating.

so u think shaming him like this will help? we don't even know the full story.

iTrader is set up so that buyers or sellers can do their due diligence on them. just cos they don't post doesn't mean u can't do a search?

what I trying to tell you is you have to go thru one by one, page by page, to look for someone's rating, there is no search function in iTrader. if you know any better way, please do let me know.

that's an improvement iTrader should have. maybe admins can put a link in the users' profiles.

errr.... there are slightly indirect way to find out.... but you will need to know the member code in CS.

e.g.
WeddingPhotographer member code number is 10438
http://forums.clubsnap.org/itrader.php?u=xxxxx
so you key in 10438 in the xxxxx, then you can view his itrader info.

it need more than this, you can give anyone rating even you don't do any transaction with the user....

Haiyo, let one step la. It's a free market after all. Of course yeah, he's slightly in the wrong for giving his promise but you 大人大量.. Just let it go I guess.

Did he meet you at your convenience?

I've met people on online auctions that buy my second-hand G-shock (that time clearing my cupboard mar). After getting the item, don't know how they do it, I just replace battery half an hour later when I 'm at HOME they call me and claim that the battery is finished. Must be press the EL light for the whole blardy half an hour or something. So I just gave him refund lor. And then sold it for a higher price which more than covered the replacement battery.

Anyways, my point is not that the guy is right or wrong. It's that life's too short to just keep remembering grudges. Cheers! Best of luck in future.

I think you should do these: 1. Post his full hp number - there is no point posting half a number. 2. After you do that, sms/email/etc contact him and tell him that his name is up here in this board. This is to ensure that he knows about this and is given an opportunity to respond. If he doesn't then no excuse and we can all make an adverse inference against him. If he does, then it eliminates problems of one sided accusations.

let's put it this way....as long as u r the seller, u r at buyers' beck and call most of the time. i have met unreasonable buyers and really nice ones as well (if u see my recent feedbacks). sometimes all u need is just one stinking buyer to stereotype them. my advice is if u r in this selling business for the long term then i would suggest u take it in your stride otherwise u will be jaded.
