Went to the Esplanade library to borrow some stuff, so just brought my camera along for a little night shooting. Been a while since I did stuff like that anyways.. =)
#1 Thought I'd just try a little HDR: ![]() #2 Not a very good vantage point, but it's all I had ![]() #3 Raffles City ![]() #4 Here it flared like crazy. =( ![]() #5 - Some doorway, I think it was Victoria Theatre but I could be wrong, was a little tired then. ![]() Thanks for viewing, all C&C welcome. =) Especially on the HDR, need to learn how to do it properly. |

looks like there's some hand shake on the HDR... all probably the slightest shake caused by multiple exposure

My tripod can't be locked! Or at least I haven't figured how to yet. Yes, there's shake, but more like.. Positioning, not actual shake, if you get what I mean. Anyone who knows how to stop a stupid Slik Sprint 3-way tripod from moving, please let me know. I Ortonized it.. But I guess still can see hor. ![]() |

#2 was just long exposure with small aperture, then PS to bring the shadows up and highlights down, that's the major part of the long. Along with a little saturation. And of course, taken before it's really night. More like evening-night around 7 thereabouts. |

photo matrix to help HDR your pictures
actually nightmare you can actually shoot in raw and then after that create 3 or more different exposure... and HDR it! |

Another way is to use star filters. Although of course if you use the really siao ones very retro and gimmicky feel. To each his own, of course. #2.. I didn't actually saturate it that much. =) ![]() |

It's ok, I get your idea. Yes, I like 3D cartoon movies, and there was Photoshop used. =) Mainly the effect is achieved by lowering the shadows and bringing up the highlights. Pretty easy to do. =) |

Sorry! Care to elaborate though? I need honest critique to improve, after all. =)Last edited by night86mare; 25th March 2007 at 04:14 PM. |
