I've read before using film, but eh, isn't a filter so much easier? =D

I think its the same reason why some people like to take pinhole camera pictures or use holgas and lomos.With a gel filter and a dslr you more or less know what you are going to get.With a cheap digicam and this filter the result would be unpredictable which is half the fun! Anyway I own a dslr and even if I did I wouldn't use gel filters for personal reasons. So for me this provides a interesting alternative.
