in my 2 cents, i think the lighting is wrong in the first place.

the key light should be on left WRT camera and not on right.
maybe that's the reason why lighting looks' flat?

You never use an incident light meter? I think the exposure is wrong.

guys, really appreciate all your help in tuning the picture. However i have discover something else today..... I have seek help from my friend , and this is what came out from our finding. These two pictures did not undergo any Photoshop editing. This is really weird. My color was eaten up in the first picture. picture number 2 is what i see on my camera LCD. meaning that what i see is what i get. Number 1 is totally weird.

picture open directly from photoshop CS2

picture open by DPP and transfer to photoshop CS2

Sounds like a colour space mismatch to me then.

What colour space setting do you use on your camera? Make sure CS2 is set ot the same colour space.

I think this is a very likely reason. Did CS2 warn you of colourspace conversion required?

I think it does give a warning if the colour space of the file does not match the working colour space, and you can choose to convert or ignore. The warning can also be diabled in the options.

You may have your CS set to "ignore" (use working colour space regardless of what's in the file) and diabled warning.

my color setting was set to adobe RGB, as my setting in my camara also adobe RGB. This happen when i shoot in RAW, if i shoot in JPEG, there won't be problem opening the picture in Photoshop CS2, which cause the color desaturation

Let me get this straight...when you shoot in RAW and open the file in CS directly, you get the desaturated colours?

thats correct bro. if i transfer the photo drpm DPP, the color seemed fine, but JPEG is fine with opening in CS2
