Thread: Wedding shoot - black or white?

  1. #1

Default Wedding shoot - black or white?

I think this question might have been asked before, but I can't seem to find the thread that discusses this.

Anyway, with regards to the above topic, the bride's white in white & the groom's black in black. Which would you get your readings from - bride or groom?

If I set it to the bride, the groom would turn out a little on the dark side.
But if I set it to the groom, the bride would get a little too washed out.

I'm not the official photographer, so there's no pressure on me but I'd still like to get a few nice well balanced shots.

Well, generally, I'll stick to the bride... They are the ones with Veto power over which shots they choose, (generally that's how I feel )

Else, after shooting, do a lil PP and select the groom's face, and then lower the brightness and contrast slightly to balance out.
