135/1.8, then 50/1.4.
The 135/1.8 is sharp wide open. Yields 95-99% sharp images open wide, while the 70-200 SSM yields about 70-80% on my copy and slight soft wide open. My recent ( last 2 weeks) equipment pack list includes only the following: 35/2, 50/1.4, 100/2.8 SF and 135/1.8. Will be losing the 100SF as I almost always prefer the 135. If you're considering the 135/1.8, go try it out yourself and be amazed. ![]() |

7.5mm f4 fisheye
28mm f1.8 - sigma 35mm f1.4 50mm f1.2 85mm f1.4 Those are my favorite primes.. of course they are being use on every job I do... Don't like zoom anymore... though it is convenient to use zoom from time to time. Hart Last edited by Agetan; 19th March 2007 at 09:24 PM. |

8mm f/3.5 for scenery
28mm f/1.8 for scenery with portait 50mm f/1.4 for portrait with autofocus 58mm f/1.2 for portrait, seldom use due to manual focus 85mm f/1.4 for portrait, most frequently used 400mm f/4.5 for birding & star, seldom use though |

Picture of an open space? Depends on what you want to achieve. 10-20mm, 11-18mm, 8mm prime, 15mm FE, 16mm FE, 17mm prime, 28mm prime can be used.

What camera are you using now and do you mind a fisheye or you prefer a wide angle only?

Fish eye will give you rounded images. As in the angle will be very wide but the corners of the images will tend to be rounded. For the wide angle, you can take wider pictures as compared to the normal lens. If you want pano, it'll be best with a wide angle. A 10-20mm or 11-18mm would be ideal. But do watch out for vignetting (black corners on your pictures). Price wise, i'm not too sure, cos they are above what i can afford. Maybe you want to check out the net for more info and in-depth reviews.

you can check on the peleng fisheye review at Dyxum, the sharpness is not very very good, but it's really wide, and the colour also not bad.
