During this trip, I faced some 'technical' or skill problems.
1. I like the exposure of merlion in picture 06 and the color of fountain in picture 07, within the same picture. What should I do on the setting of SLR, in order to capture it....? 2. After the show, attempted to shoot the merlion. But it is too dark to auto-focus for SLR, and too dark to manual focus throught viewfinder..... What should I do? After viewing, sure got from lots of critique from the non-newbie.... load your weapon and shoot... But help to answer the two questions posted... Thanks..... |

1. If u r using tripod..try shooting a clean image of the merlion and the stage..then use HDR to merge the clean image with the ones u find under expose one.. 2. can just focus to infinity if its hard to focus..

For the focusing, you can do an estimate by looking at the lens window. Manually turn till near to or at infinity and stop the lens down for greater DOF. Alternatively focus on something brighter and about same distance and shift the camera to the intended subject.
