Hi all! Below is my first attempt at macro photograph... Pls comment! Thanks!
Site is Pulau Hantu... I was very priviledged to have Stevewhy to guide along.. THANKS! I was using the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens on 350d body... with a Sigma life-size filter f8 to f22. First time so facinated with insects... normally i just run away when i see 6 or 8 legged creatures... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Focus on the eyes are good, and thats a very impt element in a good macro.
The flash is rather harsh and is casting strong shadows which tends to mask the details. The whites on the Black-and-White Spiny Spider is blown, so again watch the flash. ID wise: #1: Blowfly #2:Jumping Spider (dunno which type of JS) #3:Black-and-White Spiny Spider #4: Not too sure: could be a cotton stainer bug?
