Default MiniDV Camcorder with MIC input

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good consumer level camcorder that has MIC input?
Preferably < $1K if possible... or up to $2k for a better one with 3CCD

Thanks!

Hi Tommon, thanks for your reply!

Yup I've contacted him already, but am also looking at a cheaper version that's preferably less than $1k.

I've checked some of the consumer videocams, and some do have a mic input - those mini-jack kind. Are those sufficient? Will be using the videocams to record some interviews, no need broadcast quality as long as can pick up the voice clearly.

Thanks!

The truth is what are you usig the mic input for?

The sound quality is ok for mini jacks. Only let down, no full control of the input level from cam end and the sockets are not very tough under prolong use.

Yes, those mini-jack type mic input is good enough for recording interview, just take note that the mic cable is not too long.

You should still be able to find Panasonic GS300 which has mic input, OIS, 3CCD, about $1k.
