B+W uv-haze is you dun have a tight budget

Hoya SHMC if you have a tight budget.

i using hoya, i would say the SHMC is pretty ok, just dun get anything lower.

    i second that..
u could get clear glass filters... but the UV haze would serve a better purpose esp while shooting outdoors... go for B+W if u can... excellent choice.. a little pricey though..

Why can't you get something lower??

i dun really like anything HMC and lower. they peel off easily. i rather spend slightly more to get the SHMC. in this case, the slightly more is definitely only slightly more, not the B+W "slighly" more.

or, can get the higher end ones, like the pro1 series. but i rather get the B+W at that price, unless i am using some super wide angle lens.

What lenses are you getting it for? Wat's the diameter??

Remember that the image quality depends on all elements of the lens which allows the light thru, filter included. So if you get a good lens, why do you want to degrade the image quality by using a cheapo filter??

In general, I think it's still bit bit cheaper.
