Yeah... And we have always thought of Human as the superior race. Here we have insects that make a living by seeing through 3 pairs of eyes. Maybe the Green spots (in the eyes) comes the flash, is it not?

The 8 eyes of jumping spiders are as follows:
(Quoted from David Court) "Anterior lateral (ALE) and posterior lateral (PLE) pairs of eyes are wide-angle. They detect any movement in the surroundings. The anterior median (AME) pair of eyes (the largest ones) are narrow angle of view macro lenses with long working distance eg 100mm macro camera lenses! They are used for zeroing-in on prey. The spider's brain assesses the image and the spider then may or may not follow up with an attack. The role of the very small fourth pair of eyes is poorly understood." Btw, nice spider. Cheers..
