It's a man, it's a bird! It's a man.... talking to a bird.
You'll need to zoom in closer to catch the subject. |

oso they are in shadows ... good exposure means you put light where u want light to be, and we can see what you want us to see ... in this case bird and man cannot be in shadows, for we see other things and not man and bird ... one good test of whtr your subject is coming thru, try the pic without a title and ask ppl to name it. if they give u the titel you intended then they are seeing what you saw ...

i like the idea...won't talk about the technical aspects since i'm not a pro at that..just my thoughts...the distance of the subject and the general emptiness of the photo, save for the bird and the man, seems to accentuate the feeling of loneliness...

To the TS, is it possible to post a bigger version of this photo? I'm sure some cropping will make the photo much more hard hitting.

more space to left of bird and also more exposure needed ... but at this crop you are just losing too much details

I will take note of that.... yes I agree... I am losing too much details when I start cropping. Thanks everyone for your comments!

I agree with agentmonkey. Maybe because here is is small, view are unable to "feel" the loneliness. It will show it's impact if blown to A2 size. The arrangement of the benches in a straight row leading to the subject and that only the subjects are under the shade are good too. Also like the "rawness" of the ground and the color of the sand, pillars and walls in contrast to the subjects. Dont: Maybe can clone away the white sign board behind the man. Also clone away the white strip between the 2 windows.
