Saw this very interesting wooden sculpture lying along the beach. Not sure who left it there. Certainly not the couple in the water.

OT: Just wanna ask u a question.
You took so many B&W shots using a digicam. Do you ever print them out? If yes, what's the difference compared to using a B&W film? Am asking this cos I am thinking of getting a compact P&S film cam loaded with B&W film.

I print out the ones of my children (Kodak - 35 cents per 4R). Very nice on glossy paper.
I have no experience with B&W prints, but I am led to understand that they can't be beat. An Olympus mju II with Ilford Delta 3200 is a formidable weapon. The quality of a film P&S will definitely beat a consumer digicam anytime, especially if, say, you're making 8R prints. But if you mainly post on the web, you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference. BTW these are taken with the D30 (and a crappy Tamron 28-200 XR), so the above does not apply. |

I understand that developing a B&W is ex (~$1 per 4R). Is it possible to load with normal film and ask to be developed as a B&W?
BTW, how much is a row of Ilford Delta 3200?
