Hey Teerex,
Nice collection of shots from Thailand. My pick is #2, #3 and #4. As to why they are good, take #4 as example, you use the trees to guide the viewers to the building at the back. I will prefer a wider angle for some of the shots. Never bring your fisheye? Just a side note, I think your sensors need cleaning. ![]()

Hope you have a wonderful time there.
Here are some of my comments: #1 - Sharp pict... did you over pp your foreground? #2 - Nice tone. #3 - I can't see the image. If I can see tomorrow, I will give you my comment. #4 - Nice compo... If the cropping is higer, it looks even better in compo. #5 - No comment on this snapshot/record shot. Overall, Nice tone! Like Francis' comment... need clean your sensor liao ![]() |

Mmm, I like.
#4 my fav. Very nice. Personally, I find that IR works best on things with very clearly defined edges, mmm. Must be my weird personal tastes. =D |

Thanks for looking guys.
I did not use OI on the posted pics, but applied duo-tone with slight blur. Lots of dust got into the cam on this trip. Weather conditions there very dusty, time to send cam in for sensor cleaning. I did not shoot much IR, but have a few more to share. Will post a few more when I have the time to go thru' them. |

Are you going to send your D70i to NSC for cleaning? If yes, please tell me if they charge for the cleaning. I was wondering if they will still help to clean the sensor even though we modify the camera.

Check your PM, dropped ya something regarding Marina, might be going there later to shoot, but not so sure, afraid I get lost. [edit] Hehe, think you're busy. Borrow thread for a little while, hope you don't mind, need the info urgently, and don't think it's very nice to just start a thread about location. The place that you guys went with the gorgeous trees a while back is Marina City Park/Marina South right? http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_...mode=1&level=4 This one? Thanks. Just a suggestion to include a short writeup on how to access all the good IR locations, especially for the not so clearcut ones - of course Marina isn't not clearcut, just that I'm swagu, never go that area. =D I don't mind doing it, but of course will ask around if I'm going for the first time. |

I like #4 ,you are careful in composing for this photos and use exception of having only 1 row of trees instead of the usual 2 rows.
I would prefer to exclude even the left tree near the temple and crop from bottom toward the tree base on the right. TFS.... Cheers |

I have another with the building right in the center and the 2 rows of trees on the left and right of the pic. This one looks like a better compo to me. |
