Default Looking for a photographer for Charity Event Coverage

This is for a magazine, no pay, but food is provided and credits will be given by the magazine. The event is in Ang Mo Kio, no experience needed.

since it's free service, will be good to state whether the service is done under the name of the charity, or the name of the magazine.

There is something wrong with this request .....
Prestige is like Tatler magzine, for the high-end society .... and even for charity, I dont think they will go so low as to ask for free photographers for the magazine ......

Just wonder why a mag like Prestige, which is a profit making mag since it is sold, is looking for free photographer?
Is the designer working for free as well? And the printer is printing for free as well? If not, why is the photographer working for free?

I agree with blazer_workz. Profit earning magazines should pay photogers for his work.

Even if the magazine doesn't sell well, at least give a reasonable amount to cover transport + processing work.

Quit coming around CS to exploit photogers. If really can't afford to pay, it doesn't hurt to shoot the event with your compact camera/mobile phone.

Really sad to see threads like that. And even sadder when there is really photogers who take it on.

Goes to show how some mag people perceive and regard photographers. And the irony is that magazines are full of pictures!

those are not just pictures in the magazines..those are really really expensive advertisements in the magazines..with many many diffferent brands of watches that can easily cross 5 figure mark..and branded fashion.. ..and they couldn't afford for even a free lance photographer for a charity event..
