Default Hot spot noticed

Anyone else using Tamron 17-35 f2.8- f4 ? I noticed in this picture there's a red glowing patch esp. when i increase the Red channel saturation. Lens hood is on too. Could it be the sun direction coming from the side?

The previous shot with the lens with the same problemhttp://forum.clubsnap.com/showthread.php?t=261339

Do share if you noticed the same pattern. Then we can let Pablo or Teerex update the list of lens not capable or prone to hot spot.

Some lenses are just more prone to hotspots than others, there's not much you can do except to open up the aperture more to reduce the problem.

Hoods prevent flaring, not hotspots...a hotspot is not a flare

Thanks Deadpixel! Will try with different aperture settings again and see how.

For unmod cams, try to shoot wide open, or don't go beyond f5.6. I used to use EF-S 18-55 which had very bad hotspot, but less obvious when wide open.
