Just One Butt from P Ubin.

Sharing a Graphium doson evemonides (Common Jay) shot on P. Ubin on 10th March 07.

First encountered at Ubin in late 2004, this butterfly seems to be surviving in Ubin as it has been seen a few times since the discovery.

Look similar to it's cousin Graphium evemon eventus ( Blue Jay ). Only when it stops to feed can the observer distinguish it from the more distinctive Blue Jay.

The species flies very rapidly and eratically, and is fond of flying up and down open sunlit jungle paths. The bright blue upperside often shows itself as it flits quickly by an observer.

LOL Bluesteel's sharp eyes tracked the fast flying butt over 50ft and found the exact spot it landed. It stopped only for a few moments, but enough for him to focus, choose a nice background and composition.
