First timer

Guys,

Just purchase my first D80 from IT Show and its my first dSLR. Was told by my father that it will be good to purchase a lens filter for the lens. Can i check what kind of filters should i get and roughly how much will it cost? Do i need to get a filter for each of the lens i have?

Is there anything else that i will need to buy?

This question should be posted under the 'Newbies help' section where you will get more response.

Questions about filters have been asked many times in this forum. It will be beneficial to you and others if you do a little searching on the forum before posting a question as it might have been asked before. You can use the search button located at the top of the page when u log in.

apologies, i did try searching for it but didnt managed to find it, guess is the wrong use of keywords. thanks for directing me to the thread.
