    Default NS Barang List

I'd like to find out from the rest of you who may have this list on hand - what's the "7 Packs" standard for the field pack? I was really lost when I couldn't locate my packing list recently... any help is appreciated! Thanks!

And where yr masstin, fork & spoon, etc?

I usually keep a spare pack of toilet paper somewhere near the top. You know la, when nature calls she don't wait one! I know some people will say if cannot find then use the CB leaf lor, but if can access toilet paper easily, whey use CB leaf?

different units have different packing items as far as i know. but one basic requirement is tat the packs must be packed squarish/rectangular and compressed into a block, also test for waterproofing after packing (use lots of clear tapes) packs must tahan at least half hour on water floating than can pass.

those block type full packs are no longer a must, it was told that someone complained to the new big boss and this old fashion idea of full pack was removed 3 years ago.. ziplock bags will do for now.

We've been using ziploc bags without taping it since I was an NSF in 1996 in an infantry unit. I've only seen the taping of the ziploc bags during BMT.

i think you were talking about the provost? they had to squeeze a set of No.4 into a A3 sized ziplock showing the name tag.. It's so compact that it became a block of brick and when you throw it onto the bed, it bounces back up at you.
