I like the swing shot a lot. Mmmm. Think it's somethign to do with my preference of less cluttered compositions though.

Shot 1 the sky really very swee, how come don't want to give it colour? =D The man looks a bit.. Flattened though. At least to me.

The thing about IR is the effects make almost any photos look better, including snapshots. Sorry, those were just ordinary snapshots.

I beg to differ. I think the first 2 shots are story telling shots and they are more that just snapshot.
Those in your flickr album are snapshots.

I beg to differ on many many points here, not because I like vortex or anything.

1) "The thing about IR is the effects make almost any photos look better, including snapshots."

If that is the case, then IR filters would have been marketed to beyond glory because they have godlike powers to make anything look better. What hogwash.

2) Ordinary snapshots? Maybe they do not look like much thought have gone into it, but I think composition wise, I can see the attempt.

Oh well, vortex asked for criticism for his shots. He got mine. My say on his works might not be palatable, doesn't really matter. Nor do I care what you think about my work. For those who responded after me, the next time you ask for C&C, think real hard... if you can handle them at all.

It isn't whether it's palatable or not, the main point that I'm disputing is still the IR point, tsk.

That's definitely an overly sweeping statement, if you choose to dispute it I go and take lots of IR snapshots to prove you wrong, want or not.

Besides, no one really attacked YOU, only your points. No reason to get personal, sheesh.

Added to ignore list.

I have better things to do in my life than bother with obviously disgruntled people who have some issues in their life and need to take it out on online forums. If I can't have a friendly community in real life, what I can do is to filter out all the elements that make it unfriendly.

The tone and attitude you take here, I hope you do not apply irl. It is extremely disappointing.

Don't change the subject. Thought you have some proving work to do?

Kit. maybe you should elaborate your C&C to clear this misunderstanding. I think No.1 and 2 does tell story. No.1 shows a person working hard under the hot sun, its shows hardship. No 2 shows innocence. They are both well composed too.

Snapshot means?

Let me ask you.... if I were to say "great shot!!" like the rest did. Would I be asked to explain myself?
