D80 LCD display

Why on D80, the image in the lcd is smaller, as compared to what i saw in the viewfinder?
is this due to cropping?

are you sure? it should be bigger(wide)... ur viewfinder is only covering 95% of what you get..

in picture review mode, you got try pressing the QUAL key and ISO key and see whether the picture becomes bigger and smaller?

That's right. Usually, I'll see a bit more all around... How is it that TS is seeing less? Did he get the "L" (Lemon) 80 instead of D80

viewfinder only shows 95% thereabouts of the picture.

but the magnification is only 95% of the sensor size as well... make it smaller than 23mm x 15mm, which is still smaller than the huge 2.5" LCD.
