Default Cokin questions : Pls Help : Thanks

    I have a Tokina 19-35mm, 77mm diameter.

I am considering buying some Cokin filters. So what is it that I need, me quite blur about this Cokin stuff.

Since this is an wide angle lens, I presume I need a X-pro series filter holder?

What else do I need b4 I can use the filters?

Is there different filter sizes for P and X series?? Or is it the same, meaning if I have a P holder and X holder, I can share tyhe filters?

Really need some advice over here, anyone?

And anyone roughly knows the price of what I will need to get?

    Thanks in advance

I believe the P series will fit your 77mm lens. One thing you may have to do because your using a Wide Angle lens is to modify the filter holder. The holders come with slots for 3 filters, which make them fairly long. This length can interfere with the picture. So what many people do is cut off the extra plastic for the second and third filters.

i think the P series should be good enuff. I have a friend who is using a Sigma 15~30 is currently using the Cokin P system. U might want to test for vignetting before purchase.
