Unhappy Spider nest in the top glass in viewfinder?

It's like spider nest on the corner of the top glass, the glass near the
viewfinder. I can spot a lump of fibres and thin wires etc.

My cam has been idle for a couple of months.

Last year already. Past few months work very busy.

it was the glass on the top of the VF. Thus I didn't see anything in the
photo I think.

How do I test whether there are any problems? I only have a 25mm ET
and 70-300mm lens. I can get 0.5X mag ratio only.

Errr..., are you living in Singapore? Do you put your camera in dry cab?

Regards,
Arto.

dRebelXT, send for cleaning ASAP at The Camera Workshop or similar places. If your cam is still under warranty, go to the respective svc centre.

Thank you, maybe I should.
I am putting it in my drybox now, and it's a 50%. Last few months the cam was in my
bag and only played occassionally indoors.

How much does it cost to clean that?

You should get camera attended to before whatever is growing inside gets worse. Sorry I don't know cost of cleaning. If Camera Workshop doesn't do cleaning, across the road at The Adelphi in the basement is a shop called P & G Photographic Centre (6837-0697), look for David.

I'm not sure abt correct drybox settings but mine's at 30%. Sorry to say but fungus/dust is everywhere and it's very hard to completely eliminate.

Then when is the canon service centre? I guess I need to get some lenses cleaned too. How much does it cost to get a lens cleaned?
