Default Warranty.

Hi all,

I am wanting to get a Nikon D40 from Japan. But if I buy it there, will I get any warranty in Singapore?

Sad. I could save a few hundred dollars if I buy it from there. Do you think I would be wise buying it from there but without warranty?

Well it depends.. If I am a frequent flyer to Japan, i think its ok.

If I am not, and even if I have friends there, It'll be too troublesome.

I guess if I were you I'll just get a local set.

I tink warranty's pretty important, very hard to say when u might need it.
i.e. sensor cleaning, calibration (if necessary)

International Service Warranty. You still will have to pay for replacement of parts and the like.

You should read the official warranty policy

http://www.nikon.com.sg/warranty.php

BTW, calebk, warranty does include replacement/repair of parts.

Correct, but if you're talking about the international terms, then isn't it limited to a service warranty alone?

Nope. Even for international warranty, warranty is for parts/repair.
