Default D40 with SB600 or SB800?

Hi

Anyone tried to mount a SB600 or SB800 on D40? Hows the balance of weight and is it easy to hold?

I was initially thinking of getting SB400 but it seems that SB400 is only a very minute upgrade from the built in pop up flash! Do correct me if i am wrong!

Yah.. D40x did piss me off a little.. But according to the law of physics, it takes a lot of technological improvement to have the same noise level between 6MP and 10MP!

Hay guys, it seems that 10 years from now, Nikon collectors will have problem collecting D40 due to the small volume produced..and D40 was a milestone. So any1 wanna exchange their D80 with me? :P

Hi... I have the D40 with the SB600. I find no problem with the combination. In fact, it's quite comfortable and don't feel off-balanced.

Well, in a way it's true. SB400 allows you to do bounce flash (one direction only) when built in flash cannot.

Totally agree on the D40x... just bought the D40 last then 2 months but what to do.... technology always advance
