Good for travel, compact in size to keep.
Looks fitting on small body and sufficient for pro body with iTTL.

I own one of this.
Look simple, lightweight, but the built quality is quite good.
Still don't really have the time to fully play with it.
Only used it once for CNY for family shooting.
It can only tilt upwards for bounce.
But with some creativity, I believe you can do more with the flash.
A good flash for travelling and indoors, when your distance to subject is not too far.

What do you do when placed in a situation where you have to shoot with portrait orientation? Curious...

as long as you bounce off something, it's quite good. shooting head-on will give u hard shadows, i found.

oh yes, becos of the guide numbers, if u are shooting something far, u will find ur batts draining pretty fast. if u keep ur subjects within 2-3 meters, u shld do just fine with this small flash.

That is if you don't go full power all the time.

You may feel restricted as the SB400 has no swivel, only tilt.

I heard from from a shop that one can buy a bounce card that can fit the SB600. Is there an equivalent for the SB400?
