Auto-Level, contrast, colour-balance (if I shoot in JPEG and WB is off).

    That's abt it.

You might want to be informed that cropping happened way before digital photography exist.

Why i ask bcos i got a small pin size dot at the very right side of my CCD and seems can't clean at all. If most ppl crop then I dun need to spend money to repair just live with it. Anyway only F16 onwards is visible on the pics other than that perfect.

Yes, used to crop when doing B&W. For colour, must get lab to do. Now with Digital, its easier as I can do it on my computer.

Cropping when needed to bring out the purpose (subject) of my photo. I also PP my photos, esp when I shoot in raw. PP as I am a lousy photographer...

Well, so long as you are aware of it and is willing to PP/crop for every photo or can live with the dot. Else send for cleaning or get your cleaning kit to try to remove it(be aware of the danger though).

    For me,

I shoot in RAW 90% of the time.

I'll adjust for exposure and then convert to jpeg, and then apply USM in Photoshop.

I try to compose properly, so I dun need to crop. But still, I'll crop for better composition if I need to....20% of the time.
