    In this case, I used a sling bag to switch camera, but camera on a strap would probably be faster

    Yep, very much personal preference and mission dictated. Its just another tool in the box.

    I find it extremely useful when travelling. I use a light kit, hang it around my neck and walk around. It would be rather uncomfortable (and sweaty) carrying the camera around with a handstrap for hours! And troublesome to have to whip it out of the bag everytime I want to take a shot.

    never used my neckstrap.. when i sold it, it still had the fresh in box smell.
