    woah. your 3As 1B prediction sure came out accurate.

    sigh, for me, dunno leh, feel very indifferent. as usual, my arts subjects scored poorly, econs C, GP C5.

    everything else A plus distinction from my s paper.

    so, well, at least my predicted AAAF did not came out. got an AAAC rather.

    Not so common; based on the norm, you would want 4A's. And for overseas scholarships, probably a minimum Merit/Merit.. To be brutally frank the Ungraded S paper does score a few counts against you. Of course if your track record is great the norm can be broken. =D

    Wa, satay16 is also fresh out from JC? I always thought you were older.

    No system is perfect, really. I also do not agree, in my view everyone should be interviewed and based on income group scholarships should be given out. But then that's a personal view in a possibly overly Utopian setting in my dreams.

    But for their side, you have to remember that a lot of people are looking to apply and grab a piece of the action.. The fastest way to filter right before interview is just paper results.. Like it or not. In a way there's good and bad, much like the UK education (university system) compared to US education system..

    Would you rather know you confirm can enter a certain UK university (Oxbridge aside) when you have the 3As in the bag or you might get rejected from a mid-tier US school even though you have stellar results, etc.. It all differs from person to person.

    yah, congrats to those who scored well ... and for those who don't, move on and there's always chance to do well later, even in non-academic stuff.

    btw the most bizarre thing i saw before was when my friend scored 4As, 1 S distinction, 1 S pass (was it called credit?) GP A1 and she cried like the world is going to end the next minute ... just because she didn't get a distinction in 1 S paper

    Merit.. =D

    Yeah, results are not everything, really. How do you put it - it's the same for everything, so long as you know you've put in the best you think you wanted to.. That should be that.
