The new UZi with 12x Leica lens is out. Anyone tried it? How much is it at AP or CP? Official Price is $895.

Price is from S$750-S$790 at stores in SLS, CP and MS Color in AMK. It comes with 64mb SD card and with the bag plus the hood and the converter. Really tempted to buy this camera as the zoom is 12x and it can focus fast . Any user of this camera so far? Thanks.

Another advantage is that it can maintain a constant aperture of F2.8 at the entire zoom range.

Any idea if you can attach filters to the lens?

does it have threads for screw-in filters? The adaptor needed for the flowerhood has a bayonet-type interface.

I've looked at the camera. There's no threads found, so screw-in filters can't be used.

there is.... at least according to CP's salesman

the front part of the exterior lens part can be screwed out and attach a lens adpator to accomodate filters
