Default Chinese artist - photo like paintings

There was a Chinese artist that held an exhibition many years back at the old World Trade Centre in Singapore before it became Harbour Front. I recalled his paintings vividly because they were very photo like.

Anyone knows the name of that artist? Is there a name to that form of art?

    thanks
    Matt

photo-like paintings? not sure about that ...

but if you're referring to photographs that look like Chinese paintings then the artist will be Lang Jingshan (郎靜山) http://libai.math.ncu.edu.tw/~shann/.../fengjia.htm#C

No, but thanks for the link.

I recalled he painted portraits and sceneries that were so photo-like that it had me and my mates fooled. Only by close inspection when you see the canvas and the texture that you realised they were paintings. I was very impressed indeed.
