Was doing some searching on the net for better ways to modify my konica wai wai or put the 17mm lens into good use. Have been trying to find a lighter and simpler camera to use instead of the heavy russian rangefinder....still no clues....
But I stumbled into a cheap 22mm ultrawide angle compact! Not as wide as Wai Wai but close enough. 22mm! Here's some links for you guys to feed yourself the poison Sample Pixs Selling on Ebay now! Pretty hot! No need modding, no need to spend alot of time to open it up like wai wai, just load and ready to shoot! |

ok lah...cheap and fun one.... I see Vortex got problem loading the wai wai, I also took awhile to load it...I still have not figure out how to wind all the film to the other side smoothly...so far the wai wai cut 2 rolls of my dummy films....the only consolation is I got a roll of konica ISO1600 film..ha ha...thats why decided to move on...if get this one, then the wai wai can collect dust liao...ha ha... Anyone know or spotted this camera in local camera shops? Last edited by TrailsofLife; 23rd February 2007 at 02:04 AM. |

i managed to attach a 0.45x wide angle attachment on my holga and fujica MA-1. pretty cool effects. (50mm x 0.45 = 22.5mm, i think that's how it works.)

The rules are there to protect the Alternative Photography Community, not to help businessmen cut corners. As long as you can proof that the MO is purely to help people here save money and non-profitable for organiser, go ahead. Last edited by TrailsofLife; 25th February 2007 at 03:43 AM. |

1st the fujica
araldite an old 49mm filter onto the fujica lens housing ![]() take another old filter and remove the glass. keep the rings... ![]() this is a sigma WA attachment. i purchased it from Cash Converters for $5. you can also buy the filters for about $2 - $3. it doesn't matter what brand they are, you just want the frames. i had to buy a 43-37 adaptor as WA has a 37mm thread. ![]() Last edited by patch17; 27th February 2007 at 11:09 PM. |
